I REALLY wish someone would make a movie set in the 1430s-1460s so I could see some outrageous hennins. If only someone would make a movie version of one of Philippa Gregory's Cousins' War novels (The White Queen, The Red Queen, The Lady of the Rivers)...:UPDATE: BBC IS making a series of the novels, but no henins. Anna of Austria - Saya The complete Spanish court outfit is based on study of queen Anna`s portrait by Alonso Sanchez Coello in 1571. Underneath the black dress is golden sateen doublet decorated by gold ribbon and small cuts on narrow sleeves (pattern by J.Alcega) and golden skirt. The sleeves and doublet are fasten by buttons in worked gold tread over glass bases. Next layer is petticoat and verdugado made according J.Alcega's patterns.
