The novella that inspired Blade Runner. If you're expecting a gritty, cyberpunk thriller ride, however, don't look to this story. The world and characters are markedly different from the movie, although the world that this is set in is, in my opinion, much more interesting than its visual counterpart. This is, however, one of Dick's weaker stories. Worth a read, but not a second peek.
