Ma Paarvati : Energy of the enlightened Consciousness/mind ( Shiva ). Equivalently, she is the Goddess of the tan ( mind ) or tantra ( central nervous system ). So She is the energy which puts life into the lifeless by being the energy of the tan i.e. by being the source (i.e. mother) of Consciousness . That's how she's the Mother of Ganesha.
