Major Mitchell's Cockatoo Lophochroa leadbeateri. In pairs, small family parties and, rarely, large flocks; at times intermingles with Galahs or Little Corellas. Uses open, sparsely timbered grassland, farmland with well-treed paddocks, mulga and similar open scrub, open mallee country, callitris and casuarina country, watercourse trees. Never far from water. Sedentary; uncommon.
