DIY Monster High Chair
I planned on decorating my son’s high chair for his first birthday since that is where he would be performing the most exciting part of a one-year-old’s birthday – eating the cake! I was going to make a pennant banner to hang from the high chair tray when I realized that I could make the pennant banner look like monster teeth by making each triangular flag white. And then I figured I may as well dress the entire high chair up like a monster because, well, I’m crazy!
Serve these adorable appetizers during the holidays, and we guarantee your kids won’t turn up their nose. Tiffany Yang, who runs the Cute Food For Kids blog, created the critters from wedges of plain Laughing Cow cheese. Press on two mini-pretzel antlers. Snip two small pieces from raisins, and roll them into balls for the eyes. Use a round piping tip to cut a nose from a red pepper or a black olive. Assemble—then sit back and watch the crowd light up!
