Based on a true story: When Gina (played by Lacey Chabert) loses her husband on Christmas Day, she soon finds a kindred spirit in another parent at her kids school, Michael (played by Warren Christie), who loses his wife at the same time. As they help each other and their children though grief, they grow closer and fall in love. However, family and friends cause them to question whether being together is a good idea.
