I love this. And no, it is NOT a real photo from an insane asylum, lol. CREDIT: German performer Pina Bausch did a piece in 1977 - “Blaubart” (or in English, “Bluebeard”) - and this was a part of that performance.
This photo manipulation is very well done and visually interesting. The image has a great deal of movement and resembles a disturbance in the individual similarly to ripples in water after the stillness is disturbed. It thrives in black and white because it takes on an edgy feel and the dark darks contrast nicely with the bright whites.
The colors black and red. The color red representing the love and passion that Celia and Marco have for each other colliding with the disapproval of Hector and Alexander(black, evil, darkness).
