Domus Flavia,- (in red) Was the official residence of the emperors. It was completed in 92 AD in the reign of Titus Flavius Domitianus, more commonly known as the Emperor Domitian, and attributed to his master architect, Rabirius. His work was identified by a technique he used on details. It contained an Aula Regina (oval office), hall with lararium (shrine to household gods), a small basilica with an emperor's throne and a heated floor (hypocaust).
