I like to use the little six inch skewers. You can easily fit a few pieces on the sharp end. For these caprese salad skewers you could slide on as many pieces of tomato and cheese as you like. I like the pattern of mozzarella between two leaves of basil and then two cherry tomatoes. Also, I like to use the mini bocconcini or fresh buffalo mozzarella. It’s the same size as the cherry or grape tomatoes so it looks pretty and minimizes prep time.
