Cathédrale Saint-André de Bordeaux Roof II
The top of Cathédrale Saint-André de Bordeaux. Cathédrale Saint-André de Bordeaux – is a stunning twin-steepled church in the centre of the city. Consecrated by Pope Urban II in 1096, it has a storied history and was where French King Louis VIII married Eleanor of Aquitaine in 1137. Little remains of the original 11-the century structure, with the nave altered in the 12th and 15th centuries and the rest of the structure – including the two spires – built in the 13th and 14th centuries.
