Lívia Gorka (Nógrádverőce, 5 March, 1925) From:http://www.magyarkeramia.hu/keramia/gorka_l/page_en.html Took a certificate as master potter in 1947. Her master was her father, Géza Gorka. A free-lancing artist, she worked in the Gorka workshop in Verőce until 1959, and in her own studio since then. The source of her art is nature, her typical objects are large asymmetrical vessels, idols, fish, birds, stones. She adopted the pre-wheel archaic technique of working in clay.
