Hungary lost of her land & of her population. I'm assuming this would be the reason why it's very hard to find genealogy records This is just so disturbing to those whose Hungarian bloodlines are now severely compromised. Such a wrongdoing!

Miklós Radnóti (1909-1944) was a Hungarian poet. He was drafted by the Hungarian Army, but as a Jew he was assigned to a labor battalion. In November 1944, he was severely beaten by a militiaman for "scribbling". Too weak to continue, he was shot near the village of Abda in Hungary. Eighteen months later, his mass grave was exhumed and his small notebook of final poems was found in his coat.
