The Grateful Dead were carting around their GIANT Wall of Sound set up in 1974 - it was an attempt to get the sound levels & quality they wanted but the entire array proved to be too time consuming to set up/tear down and also very precarious at some venues - but WOW was it something to behold of the eyes and ears in 1974 while it was in use.
