How-To: Mend With Patchwork
Give your damaged clothes a new life—and a new look. This visible mending with patchwork technique is inspired by French and Japanese workwear repair. Follow along with the steps below and pause as needed. 1. Mark your rectangle around the hole. 2. Cut out damage. 3. Make angled cuts at each corner of the rectangle at 1/4 inch. 4. Iron down edges. 5. Pin patch fabric underneath. 6. Sew on with whatever style stitch you like.
