Queen Jawiga's treasure box. Jadwiga was a Polish princess, who at the age of 12 married Lithuanian duke Jogaila and started a Jagiellonian dinasty, which ruled the Kingdom of Poland and Grand Dutchy of Lithuania for almost 200 years. Jadwiga, who later became a saint and her husband Jogaila, restored and expanded the famous Jagiellonian university in Krakow where Nicolaus Copernicus later studied.
