Error Coins - Missing Letters - Ambiguous Description
A coin guide that is credible needs to present a complete coin description. The description is correct, but what does it mean? It is lacking a reason. Another of the over 100 inaccuracies in this book - B0CSNPF85L The reason that letters and numbers are missing on coins is due to die wear, abrasions on the die, and filled dies. Grease would cover more than just one letter or number, so this is not likely.

Error Coins - Incorrect Statement
Be careful selecting a coin guide as a reference. Some of these guides contain false information which leads me to beleive they were written by novices. In the photo, the author of a book states that wheat cents were minted from 1909 to 1956. The correct date range is 1909 through 1958, when the reverse was changed to the "memorial" cent.
