Count Albert Wass (Válaszút 1908 - Astor 1998) Hungarian writer and poet from Erdély. The Wass family origins can be traced back to the Árpád age and is one of the oldest noble families in Erdély (Transylvania). The Big Book of Hungarian survey was proved to be one of the most popular Hungarian writer. His books were banned under Ceausescu. Forced to emigrate in 1945, Romania was sentenced to death on trumped-up charges, the U.S. dropped the charges after the examination of the case.
