For the most Architectural Design firms, it was time to change from hand drawing to CAD planning in the and I used AutoCAD and since 7 years EliteCAD. But for the pre Design I still perform with hand sketches - best results within minutes

Great example of quick sketching, this technique could be used in initial sketches to portray ideas and visions, great use of continuos line.

Rough concept sketches using thick black pen and simple hatching technique on certain areas to convey information.

You should try carrying a small sketchbook. Then use a pen and challenge yourself to draw as much as possible. At least one 30 min session per day :) Draw ideas, doodles, observations, whatever as long as your drawing.
