Steve Irwin was a firm believer that crocodiles- all creatures- felt love or at least a protective instinct for their significant others. I'm with him.

The Saltwater Crocodile, Crocodylus porosus, is the largest of all living reptiles. It is found in suitable habitats from Northern Australia through Southeast Asia to the eastern coast of India.
