Learning how to express emotions is important to a child's social-emotional health and development. Reading books about feelings to kids is a positive parenting tip to help your children learn to manage their emotions in healthy ways. I have found that reading these books to my daughter has helped her understand her emotions well enough to label them and communicate them with me. This has reduced her tantrums and lessened their severity. I can't recommend these books highly enough!
