This is a great example of how much/little space it would add to extend the current roofline over the new addition. This is also the closest building I think I've seen online to the shape/siting of the granary, although this one is obviously oriented with  the long roofline pointing south.

The one storey, 60 sq.-metre house draws on a lot of inspiration from traditional Japanese tea houses, but attempts to overcome past efficiency problems by using vacuum insulated wall, ceiling and window panels to vastly improve thermal insulation.
