Sirsasana (headstand) Prep Part 1: Using the blocks as support in this way is probably one of my all time favorite poses.  Not only does it allow for freedom in the head and neck because of the support at C7, but it is extremely strengthening for the postural muscles along the spine.  Most Yogis believe that Sirsasana is the most important pose to do everyday because of all of the benefits. DETAIL + DEPTH | This next pose is Malasana with a chair. Its purpose in the sequence is to strengthen the arm to leg relationship. To enter Astavakrasana, it is common to start seated and bring the upper arm under the leg, as if taking Eka Pada Sirsasana, Eka Hasta Bhujasana, or any of the Leg behind the Head poses.
