Pacific Ocean, March 20, 2009 - The aircraft carrier USS John C. Stennis (CVN-74) and ships of the John C. Stennis Carrier Strike Group are underway in formation with naval vessels from the Republic of Korea marking the end of Exercise Foal Eagle 2009, a defense-oriented annual training exercise with the Republic of Korea.
French Marine Nationale Aircraft Carrier FS Charles-de-Gaulle at Toulon 15 October 2013. Reported that despite her recent refit & modernisation, from January to July 2013, she will be out of commission for another major overhaul between September 2016 & February 2018. The present date for the carrier's retirement is given as 2041.
