I would use this hand out as a viewing activity. For older kids I would put a blank beside the examples and provide a word bank. With younger and even older kids I would bring in materials and examples of these textures represented so they can get a real experience with it.

The Circle Game asks students to come up with as many different things as they can from one circle. I thought this activity was really fun! However, my elementary students were not that interested.
