DTGD17jacquelineB Not too Crabby by naturecoastcrafter - Cards and Paper Crafts at Splitcoaststampers

My friend, Jacqueline, thought of a fun challenge for this year's Dare To Get Dirty Challenges. I used reversed masking and masking techniques to achieve the background. The crab was done with a credit card and acrylic paint scraped across paper and then cut with a die cut. If you'd like to play along or find out more about this challenge, join us in the Dare To Get Dirty 2017 forum. Not a fan club member? Chalked the top to create the sky. Lots of dry time. Die cut a frame, cattails, sailboat and sentiment. Assembled. Colored scrap with three colors, punched…

I've been playing with a few of the images, and when I saw a card on Pinterest, by Heather Cooper, I knew I had to try my hand at recreating it. Take a look: This starts with a piece of Whisper White cardstock. I cut a circle with one of the Layering Circles dies in a piece of Thick Whisper White, to use as a mask. I gently anchored my Thick piece over my card front, and then using sponges, inked a beach scene. I…
