In New York City there are many things that will catch the attention and interest of a photographer. For me the idea of gardens, Roses, and available lighting was the thing that had my interest. More specifically, the time of day was important as well. To use a camera and lens combination to capture the flower’s beauty was the requirement. To be able to do this using minimal equipment, just a camera, lens, and available light. was the goal, and the hoped for result. This was the achievement…

Ornamental cherry trees flower but do not produce cherries. in the early spring, the buds on the tree bloom and fill nearly the entire tree with flower blossoms that range in color from white to pink depending on the cultivar. The blooms appear before the foliage. Once the blooming season is finished, the leaves will appear.
