Bonivard's prison in the Château de Chillon, Switzerland. Bonivard was a renegade Savoy who was imprisoned here for four years. When the Romantic poet Lord Byron came to visit, Bonivard's story inspired him to write the poem "The Prisoner of Chillon." Byron also scratched his name into a column. My fantasy home not only has this, but every evening at 8:15, Captain Jack Sparrow and Will Turner swordfight on the stairs. (Actually this is too much for me, but it does make me giggle.)
