Our Den Doodle ended up being a very positive thing to inspire the boys to wear their uniforms, do Cub Scout requirements at home with their parents, and be excited about Cub Scouting! Our Tiger Den Doodle!!

This is our den doodle. We currently have 9 boys (1 dropped after 1 meeting, so we are lopsided). I have 13 different colored beads for everything from den attendance and uniform wear, to awards earned, camping, popcorn sales, etc. I used cord that is 3 ply nylon? and simply untwist it a little to hang it on the hook (I fused the ends in a flame). That way, beads can be easily added from the top.

On Thursday's, I tend to look at ideas that have worked in the past. Den doodles have been around as long as there has been the organization of the dens in Cub Scouts. It is the one tool, besides the back of their book, which the scouts are able to measure up their progress. This
