This week, Venus - the brightest planet and dazzling "evening star" - will pass the beautiful Pleiades star cluster, also known as the Seven Sisters. Look west after sunset! Venus and the Pleiades meet only every 8 years. Photos here.

A new study of historical, astronomical, and biblical records suggests the event in 6 BC was actually a rare planetary alignment, during which the sun, Jupiter, the moon, and Saturn all lay in Aries.

The evening star pattern consists of three candles: a large green candle, followed by a small-bodied candle with a gap, and finally, a large red candle. This pattern reflects the struggle between buyers and sellers and offers a reliable signal for potential trend reversals
