Reyna Juana, whose native names in local legends are Humamay and Amihan, was described by Pigafetta to be wearing a black and white sheet, with a large silk veil crossed with gold stripes that covers her head and shoulders, and a large palm hat with a crown above it made of the same palm leaves.  The sheet most likely refers to the tapis, which is the wrap-around dress common among Southeast Asians, as Cebuanos were known to prefer the tapis over the blouses/badu, unlike other Visayans, according to Isabelo de los Reyes y Florentino in 1889.   The dominant color of Humamay's tapis would be black, NOT white.
