A bittersweet time....the dark days come. I often get home so late that I'm walking in the dark or near dark. A favourite location.....the distant view at dusk reveals lights off in the distance, suggested here by the 2 specks of white. I like coming to the collages every so often. They provide a break in the type of thinking involved in the paintings....

The top piece, Night Walk, (sold) is an collage painting on paper and is made from memory, without any direct reference. The bottom piece, Secret Field, is acrylic on gessoed birch panel. Together they show the type of slight movement in method I use to keep the process fresh. Night Walk was the 3rd in a series of night collages, and Secret Field was made right after that. www.harrystooshinoff.com
