Large aperture photography

Shallow depth of field: A larger aperture helps create shallow depth of field by leaving a smaller focal point , larger aperture smaller focus. The distance also affects depth of field, the closer you are to the subject the shallower the depth of field becomes.

This is an example of maximum depth of field. The image was taken low enough to obtain all the bicycles as well as making sure they are all in focus, creating as if the bicycles never end.

This is a good example of shallow depth of field because all of the background is blurred out and all you can see is the foreground and the mini Effiel Tower. I think this photograph has quite a depressing, lonely mood because of the colours and how the photograph is framed and angled.
