What a delight this is - I have to say, in terms of typography, this is one of the most enjoyable items I have found in a long time. Almost like a London bus or tube map of the period, a small folder, beautifully produced (rather unsurprisingly I suppose given who issued it!) showing type borders, ornaments and embellishments from the long established and famous London type foundry of H W Caslon & Co Ltd. Caslon had a long pedigree dating back to 1720 (some sources quote 1716). They would…
