Static electricity creates lightning. A way to showcase this process is to build static electricity, or an abundance of electrons, and then watch the "bolt" form when attracted by something such as your finger. This creates a "lightning bolt" which you can encapsulate in a bottle for added dramatic effect. This experiment is fairly easy to accomplish and helps showcase the movement of electrons.
