Rhythm - The pattern has been repeated across the design to create a rhythm.

In this image rhythm is alternating. The squares or cubes create an alternating rhythm in shapes and with the colors in the image which creates a pattern as well.

For the Principles of Design I did balance, contrast, emphasis, movement, pattern, and rhythm. The hardest I thought was rhythm because you had to combine movement and pattern together.

The elements of design are: dots, line, shape, textures and so on. However, in this pieces of writing I just want to discuss about lines, textures. I found a book form the library: Basel, Graphic D…

#Scale and #Perception using lines as the design element. This is my first composition for the Visual Diary that is not a photograph. The composition was created in Illustrator and strictly uses lines in order to create a 3D affect on a 2D surface.

Emphasis is shown here by centering the focus of the piece. It also makes the umbrella pop by using bright colors compared to the others shown. This is also the only umbrella where the viewer can see part of the persons face.

This design features mostly lines and some points near the ends of them, all intersecting to create a grid-like pattern.
