For years, I've had people ask me if I make ribbon quilts. And I've always just said that's not really what I do. But this time, I couldn't say no. Ellen made this fun Cascading Ribbon quilt for her granddaughters graduation gift. She adapted the pattern to make it Queen sized and figured out the math to make the ribbons a smaller scale. This post is my attempt to answer a question on the EQ7 list. To make this block you start with a 9 Patch block add a couple of lines to make two half square triangles. Color the block in such a way that there looks like there is right side and a wrong side to the ribbon, or a light and dark sides.
