🌟Thrombophlebitis is an inflammatory condition that causes a blood clot to form and block one or more veins, typically in the legs. The afflicted vein may be close to the skin's surface (superficial thrombophlebitis) or buried deep within a muscle (deep vein thrombosis, or DVT). 🌟Thrombophlebitis can be caused by trauma, surgery, or extended inactivity. 🌟DVT increases the likelihood of major health complications. It is typically treated with blood-thinning drugs.
