Nylah Khan on Instagram: "Thought I’d share how I teach vertical, horizontal and diagonal lines to Pre-K & kindergarten!! When I was little, I always had a hard time understanding and remembering what those big words meant. So when I started teaching this concept nearly 20 years ago, I remembered the little Nylah, and basically simplified them to, “standing line”, “sleeping line” and “falling line”, and it’s stuck ever since! My students make a smooth transition eventually with the right vocabulary! Oh, and I also LOVE using Andrew’s visuals when I teach about lines, they are perfect for our line projects!@elementaryarts • • • • • • • #lines #linesandshapes #elementsofart #simplifyteachingconcepts #simplifyteaching #kindergartenart #artteachers #artteachersofig #artteachersofinstagr Sleeping Line Activity, Standing And Sleeping Line Activity, Standing Lines Activities For Preschool, Standing Line Activity, Teaching Aids For Kindergarten, Lines For Kindergarten, Standing Line, Straw Activities, Different Types Of Lines
