Battleship North Carolina

Taken in Wilmington, North Carolina, USA BB-55 was the lead ship of North Carolina-class battleships and the fourth warship in the U.S. Navy to be named in honor of the State of North Carolina. She was built at the New York Naval Shipyard and commissioned in 1941 and decommissioned in 1947. Today she is a museum ship.
