Starting free machine embroidery can be scary prospect, even for experienced stitchers. I recall my own first experience very clearly - even after stitching on a sewing machine for years it felt completely alien. Search for water soluble fabric or water soluble stabiliser.   3) Is it bad for the environment?  - This fabric is advertised as being environmentally friendly and 100% biodegradable.   4) How does the embroidery not fall apart when the fabric washes out?  - it’s all in how you stitch it. The embroidery needs to be really well connected to hold together once the fabric is removed.
