Statuette of King Senusret I or Sesostris I (r. 1971-1926 B.C.), from a private tomb near the Pyramid of Senusret I at El-Lisht, Middle Kingdom (stuccoed & painted cedarwood), 12th Dynasty ca. 1991-1802 BC. Now at the Egyptian Museum, Cairo.  This statue wears the White Crown of Upper Egypt. Senusret is presented here wearing a short kilt, painted white with red details.
