Perseverance lesson: I read "The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind" and then we talk about 4 parts of perseverance: 1. Stay focused, 2: Don't give up, 3: Do quality work, 4. Work hard. Each student writes these on the 4 blades of the pinwheel they make. Pinwheel made using: 6" x 6" pre-cut scrapbook paper, wooden dowel, tiny bead (for separation) and tack. The pinwheel resembles the windmill that is the focus of the book.
