Finally at their holiday destination! This German family managed to find enough space for themselves and their entire luggage for a trip to Denmark in their Variant 1600. What stands out in this image are the boys’ leather pants and, literally, the side windows that you could open like this to prevent draught. They were part of the basic equipment of the Variant 1600 L from 1969.
