This is a political cartoon from 1918 about prohibition. The cartoon is of a man rum-running to the U.S to get alcohol as during the 1920s in Canada, the consumption, importing and transportation of liquor was banned. However, many people did not agree with it so speakeasies (illegal clubs) were made and people began to buy "bootleg booze" (liquor imported from the US). These clubs were a form of entertainment that added to the excitement of the roaring 20s.
