For this finished I used Rust-Oleum Weathered Gray stain for the first coat. I let it dry over night then I distressed the wood. I used 220 grit to lightly sand, focusing on the edges. The last color coat was a white glaze
creating a soft black color using ASCP. Put Graphite ASCP over a coat of Aubusson Blue ASCP for a "very soft rich black". Put a coat of clear wax over that and end with a coat of dark wax. You will have a "deep, rich, but soft black".
** I just realized that I need some 'smaller' and 'lighter' nightstands to match my 'light' metal bed frame. The large wooden stands don't go well with it! vintage style end tables/night stands are my favorite Annie Sloan Painted Furniture
