I make up a batch of 48, cook up 12 for one meal, put 12 in the fridge (uncooked in between parchment) to cook up for leftovers this week, and put 28 in the freezer for next week (2 meals for my very large family). Homemade Flour Tortillas Recipe Ingredients: • 3 cups unbleached organic all-purpose flour (can do 30% fresh-milled, 70% all purpose, or 100% fresh-milled) • 1 tsp salt • 1 tsp baking powder • ⅓ cup olive oil • 1 cup warm water Instructions: Mix flour, salt, and baking powder. Create a well in the middle of your flour and Add oil and warm water, then stir until dough forms. Knead for 2-3 minutes until well incorporated, then let rest for 15 mins. Divide into 12 balls, roll out thin, and cook on a hot skillet for 30-60 seconds per side until golden spots appear. Enjoy warm! This bread is so soft, light and flavorful. INGREDIENTS: 300 g all purpose flour/ more for rolling 1/2 tsp salt 1/2 tsp baking soda 1 1/2 tsp baking powder 2 tbsp vegetable oil or olive oil 1/2 cup plain yogurt 1/4 cup room temperature water YOU CAN KEEP IT PLAIN OR TOP IT WITH A MIX OF: 1stick of butter 2 tbsp minced garlic 3 tbsp chopped cilantro *Cook the butter, garlic and cilantro for one minute until the butter melts and you can smell the garlic. *Brush each flat bread while still warm. Comment naan if you like the full video. Preparation: Simply mix all all the dry ingredients then add the wet ingredients. Mix until it forms a dough, don’t overwork the dough and it doesn’t have to rest as well. Heat a non stick pan or cast iron. Make 8 round balls and roll using more flour.
