Marie-Antoinette - Initially charmed by her personality and beauty, the French people generally came to dislike her, accusing "L'Autrichienne" (meaning the Austrian (woman) in French) of being profligate, promiscuous, and of harboring sympathies for France's enemies, particularly Austria, her country of origin.

Marie Antoinette and her children - done in wax - by Madame Tussaud. She actually knew Marie and her children.

This looks like a Century version of waxworks of Marie Antoinette, the Dauphin and Madame Royal which were on display at the Petit Trianon for a long period of time.
