Louise Françoise de Bourbon 1673-1743, Duchess of Bourbon was the legitimised daughter of Louis XIV of France and Madame de Montespan. She was married at the age of 11 to a distant cousin. She was known for her beauty, wit, sense of humor and wild behavior. She had numerous affairs, the most famous being with the dashing libertine François Louis, Prince of Conti. She was godmother to Louis XV's eldest son, the dauphin. Unusual for the time all 9 of her children survived into adulthood.
