Very packed window display jammed with packets of tea, and a lovely placard in the side window proudly proclaiming that they sell Finest Irish Creamery Butter 1/- (No Higher Price). Old Market street. 220 Stapleton road. 20 Lawrence hill. 103 Stokes croft. 729 Fishponds road. 81 Wells road Totterdown. 12 Broad street Staple hill. 45 Sandy Park road. Branches at Horfield, Redfield, Clifton, Kingswood. Also the shops Inspector lived at 85 Longmead Avenue Bishopston, I dont know if that was a business or private address.

Oh ! how I miss Macfisheries. The sight of all the different species/colours/shapes of fish was half the enjoyment, then the taste & texture as you ate the meal was pure joy. Buying fish from the supermarket will never have the same appeal no matter how they dress up the fresh fish counter.
