An English Delftware Tulip Charger, Late 17th Century, probably London, boldly painted with sprays of tulips, carnations and other flowers within a yellow line and blue dash border on the rim, diameter 13.5 in. An English Delftware Tulip Charger, Late 17th Century, probably London, boldly painted with sprays of tulips, carnations and other flowers within a yellow line and blue dash border on the rim, diameter 13.5 in.
Accession number: 22719 Collection place: England or Netherlands 1571-1800 Earthenware H 75 mm; DM 375 mm Post-Medieval Half of English/Dutch tin-glazed ware plate. A fruit bowl shape, with a turned over lip. There is a stylised blue flower at the centre surrounded by three rings. On the sides are green fronds edged with blue, appearing from the top with large blue buds. Yellow dashes hang in swags around each pair of fronds above pyramids of blue.
